Poster Condition Grading

Movie poster condition grading is generally accepted in the community as a rather subjective affair.

Nevertheless, we always grade our posters accurately, with any noticeable imperfections visible in our high-resolution images.

The following table provides a guide to how we grade:

Condition

Description

Mint Fresh off the press! The poster is in its best possible condition, apart from the most imperceptible of handling wear.
Near Mint Most new posters fall into this category. Very minor edge and surface wear may be expected but definitely no tears.
Very Good Some noticeable edge or surface wear, including minor creases and tiny tears that do not affect the main artwork of the poster from a distance.
Good Presentable but has noticeable creases or small tears, including very minor paper loss, staining or colour fading throughout the poster.
Fair With significant imperfections, the poster may require some restoration before it appears presentable.
Poor In generally poor shape and consists very significant defects which can be distracting. The poster will require restoration.
