What is the difference between domestic (US) and international movie posters?

Movie posters are printed for a worldwide release, and each country has its own poster design, size, release date, and language.

For the one sheet poster, a different design may be used for the international one sheet meant for display in foreign countries outside of the US, though this is not always the case. They may also be single or double-sided, depending on the country. Typically, double-sided international posters of a different design from the US one sheet may be coveted for its relative rarity and superior artwork.

At times the international one sheet may use the same artwork as the domestic one sheet, except that there is no ratings box or a fixed release date, so that English-speaking regions outside of the US may all use the same poster. Often, they have the dates replaced with variations of “In Cinemas Soon” or “Coming Soon” to accommodate different release dates.
