Poster Condition Grading
Movie poster condition grading is generally accepted in the community as a rather subjective affair.
Nevertheless, we always grade our posters accurately, with any noticeable imperfections visible in our high-resolution images.
The following table provides a guide to how we grade:
Condition |
Description |
Mint | Fresh off the press! The poster is in its best possible condition, apart from the most imperceptible of handling wear. |
Near Mint | Most new posters fall into this category. Very minor edge and surface wear may be expected but definitely no tears. |
Very Good | Some noticeable edge or surface wear, including minor creases and tiny tears that do not affect the main artwork of the poster from a distance. |
Good | Presentable but has noticeable creases or small tears, including very minor paper loss, staining or colour fading throughout the poster. |
Fair | With significant imperfections, the poster may require some restoration before it appears presentable. |
Poor | In generally poor shape and consists very significant defects which can be distracting. The poster will require restoration. |
